The Tunisian national strategy for employment during the period 2014-2017 will apply to both a multidisciplinary and participatory with the main objective to reduce to 4 years the unemployment rate of 6% or 8%.
According to a document distributed to the media Tuesday during a workshop on the preliminary draft of this strategy will be announced on 17 December 2012, is to promote the creation of employment in accordance with the interests of both parties ie the employer and the employee.
The strategy also aims to allocate jobs in Tunisia according to the needs and potential of regions and reduce the disparity between the groups (youth and women) especially those who are in social exclusion.
The introduction of a new model of development flamed on employment and decent work are the main foundations of the new employment strategy in Tunisia, knowing that the latest figures reveal the existence of no less than 700 000 unemployed .
The ambitious goals of this strategy would face an inventory more or less difficult with some reluctance observed among Tunisians (especially young people) to work in certain sectors such as agriculture, where the current olive harvest season is in flagrant lack of manpower, said Tuesday the Minister of Employment Abdelwahab Maatar to 80 thousand people.
